Hi, Shinhee. I have a few comments for you! 1. I loved your passion about the topic. 2. I also liked the way you organized your speech as a person who has lived in Paris. 3. It would have been much better with more visual aids for understanding. Thank you!
Hello Shinhee! This is Suh Dong Hyeon from the same class! Most of all, I want to say that I really enjoyed your presentation. 1. You gave a speech in a natural manner. So, as one of your audience (although through the internet) I saw your presentation really comfortably. 2. And, I like your gestures. You made several hand gestures and I think it was one of the reason why I felt your presentation natural and comfortable 3. Also, your speech contains information which can be helpful to other future travelers. I guess it could be useful for my next vacation. 4. But there are a few things that I want to point out. 5. You made the sound ‘umm…’ several times. Of course it is hard not to make such sounds when giving speech but the professor explicitly said that we don’t need to fill a gap with such a sound, so I think it would be better to consider this. 6. When you try to recall something you turn your eyes to upper-right position. I think that it is natural for human to do that and I also do a similar thing, but it show to the audience that you are in ‘recalling’ process. So, I think that it would be better to see other points (such as the space between the audience) Thank you for the great presentation!

Your body language is adequate and you spoke at the right pace. It was really easy to hear what you wanted to say. I think that made the audience (including me) watch your presentation with comfort. 2. How well did the audience get to know the speech subject? Your presentation contains information which can be helpful to other future travelers. Your first-hand experience was reflected in the presentation. 3. Did the speech reflect adequate preparation? Your speech was well prepared. In my point of view, you almost never made a mistake during the presentation, or at least within the tolerable boundary. 5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion? Your presentation was well-organized. You started with the opener & preview and the body part played out as you mentioned. Also, the conclusion was clear and the quote you used was relevant to the subject. 6. Please comment on the speaker's use of notes/eye contact. In spite of the difficulty of keeping eye-contacts with the audience, you did a great job with that. You made eye contacts for the most part of the presentation. Also, you didn’t use the note too often, which is also great. 7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech? You made the sound 'umm...' several times. Of course it is hard not to make such sounds when giving speech. However, the professor said that we don't need to fill a gap with a sound, so I think it would been better if you hadn't made such sounds. Also, when you try to recall something, you turn your eyes to the upper-right position (from the audience's perspective). I think it is natural for a human to do that and I also do a similar thing, but it shows to the audience that you are in a 'recalling process.' So, I think it would have been better if you had seen other points in the room (such as the space between the audiences. 8. What did you like about the presentation? I mentioned the points that I like about your presentation before, but I want to say those points again. The practical information in your speech and the natural manner you showed are especially impressive to me. .
