Title : Le Dinner en Blanc

    1. What strong points does the speaker have?
I can see that she is confident in what she is speaking. She knows when to stress to get audience’s attention. She seems really excited about the dinner, which makes her presentation more lively.

    2. How well did the audience get to know the speech subject?
Since she has a simple structure, and she also gives clear signals, it would be easy for audiences to understand the contents. For me it was clear enough.

    3. Did the speech reflect adequate preparation?
It seems she has put much efforts in her speech, putting together all the information she has. She must’ve spent some time on collecting all the pictures she used.

    4. Did the speaker talk clearly and audibly?
Her voice was clear and loud enough, and I liked the way she stresses certain points.

    5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion?
Yes, her speech has clear opening, body, and conclusion. She started her speech by introducing what this special dinner is. She, then, explained the origin, more detail about the party such as time and dress code. She prepared many pictures and talked about 8 steps of the party. She ended her speech with information on how to participate.

    6. Please comment on the speaker’s use of notes/eye contact.
She did get help from the notes. I can further improve her presentation by not looking at the note so frequently. However, she made a good eye contact with the audiences as if she was talking to a specific audience.

    7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech?
It could’ve been better if she memorized her script. I think there had been some technical problem that the video was edited afterwards. It seemed a bit awkward, the sudden change on screen.

    8. What did you like about the presentation?
Le Dinner en Blanc is something that I’ve never heard of, it was very interesting to know about this special party. And also the last part where she gives information was also nice too because there could be some audience interested in participating the special party.

Title : Le Dinner en Blanc

    1. What strong points does the speaker have?
She is really comfortable during her speech, and one can easily see that she has enthusiasm in the topic she is talking about. Also her visual aids were helpful, showing the party’s scene. She was very proficient delivering her speech too.

    2. How well did the audience get to know the speech subject?
I have never heard about the party Le Dinner en Blanc, however just by listening to her presentation I could fully understand what the event is for, and how it is conducted. Also she had efficient visual aids which showed how the party looked like, so it was easy for the audience to know the festival Le Dinner en Blanc.

    3. Did the speech reflect adequate preparation?
Yes, she had a lot of background information of her topic, and she was very confident during her speech which means that she must have done a lot of practice beforehand.

    4. Did the speaker talk clearly and audibly?
Yes, even though the classroom’s microphone system was poor, her voice was clear enough to overcome the situation. Her tone and pace was moderate and comfortable to listen to.

    5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion?
Yes, she started her speech with an opening asking the audience if they had any plans for a summer night, and moved to her body explaining how the dinner take place, how you register to it and how it began. She concluded her speech by summarizing her overall speech.

    6. Please comment on the speaker’s use of notes/eye contact.
While she did look down at her note cards occasionally, she constantly made eye contacts with the audience.

    7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech?
She could have made more eye contact with the audience than looking down at her notes, and it would have been better if she was more fluent through her speech. Also she had to hold her microphone on one hand and her note on the other so she couldn’t make many gestures. If she could use more hand movements it would have been more effective.

    8. What did you like about the presentation?
The subject itself was really interesting as it was a party that I have never heard of, and she provided detailed information which helped me to imagine what the party would be like. Her visual aids were efficient, and her enthusiasm made me concentrate to her speech. Her presentation made the event seem really interesting and attractive. It was overall a well prepared absorbing presentation.

Title : Le Diner en Blanc

    1. What strong points does the speaker have?

You seem to give your presentation very freely. I believe most of the people who have to give a presentation in front of people become nervous but I could not find any sign of anxiety from you.
Asking the audience a question seemed to be an effective way to start your presentation. Also, the fact that you pronounced the party's name in French was impressive.
Various pictures in powerpoint helped me to understand this party much more easily.
I felt as if you are talking to me in person as your presentation was given with so much confidence and candid environment.

    2. How well did the audience get to know the speech subject?

I have never heard of Le Diner en Blanc before. It was a good opportunity for me to learn about a new event that is held globally.

    3. Did the speech reflect adequate preparation?

The powerpoint you made had a variety of photos that supported your presentation. However, I would have to say that you seem to rely on your script too often. As a result, you seem to make eye contacts lesser as time passes by.
I would have to say that you seem to be not fully prepared as you often have difficulties talking about the following parts of your presentation and eventually turned to your scripts. Also, using 'uh' or 'hmm' too many times could make the audience feel as if you are unprepared.
Most of all, the video abruptly pauses and plays back on 5:39-5:40 which shows that you have edited your video.

    4. Did the speaker talk clearly and audibly?

Overall, your pronunciation and accent are not difficult to understand. However, there are often some parts when your intonation and pronunciation of words become wrong. For instance, when you said 'introduce' and 'activity' at the beginning, you spoke in a wrong intonation.
Your grammar often becomes shaky and the overuse of 'uh' or 'hmm' makes your presentation often difficult to understand.
Nonetheless, your presentation was not difficult to follow.

  7. 5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion?

Your presentation seems to have a definite opening, body, and conclusion but the conclusion seems relatively abrupt. I would have to say that you mentioned you would take questions after the your presentation, but it seems you finished your presentation without taking questions. Since you stated that you would take questions, your presentation would have been better if you did actually take questions in the end.

    6. Please comment on the speaker’s use of notes/eye contact.

You seem to rely on your notes often too much. Naturally, you have less time to make eye contacts with the audience.

    7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech?

I would have to say that your powerpoint has contained too much information. As a result, the audience might look at the photos and description in the powerpoint more rather than listening to your presentation.
When you pronounced the title of the party at the beginning of your presentation, you laughed at yourself which makes the credibility of the presentation and your knowledge of the topic doubtful.
Moreover, it would have been better if you familiarised the topic more so that you could depend less on the notes. I would have to say that you seem to read your script too much in the end of your presentation and rush to the conclusion.
I would have to say that the abrupt change of scene in 5:39-5:40 shows that you have edited your video.

    8. What did you like about the presentation?

Your confidence in speaking makes people feel comfortable and help them easily concentrate on the presentation. Even though there could be drawbacks, the abundant photos in your powerpoint helps people understand the topic better.
Your voice was loud and made your presentation audible. The overall speed of your presentation was adequate. Thank you for your presentation.
